Florence Knoll
Florence Knoll (1917-2009) was an American architect and furniture designer who was instrumental in the development of the mid-century modernist style. She studied under Mies van der Rohe and Eliel Saarinen, and her clean, geometric designs for furniture and interiors helped to define the look of American modernism in the 1950s and 1960s.
