KIT is a provocation that envisions networked kitchen appliances serving as structure for an entire system, arranged to build an open and useful home kitchen. Future Facility (the conceptual branch of Industrial Facility), envisions smart appliances with more relevant functionality and performance, intelligent craft and simpler interfaces.
Each KIT appliance uses the advantage of its mass to act as a foundation for supporting other parts of the KIT system, reducing the usual wastage from wooden cabinetry carcasses dramatically. Kitchens can be planned for the smallest or largest spaces by arranging modules, where each part of the system is based on an appliance (not the layout of cabinetry). A countertop appliance can come with induction hobs, sink and filtered water, while an extractor appliance integrates lighting and storage.
